Liver Cirrhosis Couldn't Defeat the Spirit of Brave Rewati - INDIASTAN

Liver Cirrhosis Couldn’t Defeat the Spirit of Brave Rewati

                          यदि आमाका लागि उनका सन्तान नै उनको संसार
                      हुन् भने सन्तानको लागि आमा नै सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड बन्छिन् ।

The meaning of this is that if for a mother, her children are her world, then for the children, their mother becomes the entire universe.

In one of the most beautiful and enchanting valleys of Nepal, Rewati lived in a small village with her two children. She worked hard to educate her children and instilled in them the ability to take responsibility for themselves. It’s a matter of great pride for a mother to see her children become capable. Everything was going well; after years of hard work, all Rewati desired in life was peace. A happy and playful family, filled with love and contentment, was delighted with each other’s company. But…

Time changed its course

In Rewati’s life, there came a time when her health began to deteriorate. Her eyes gradually started to appear yellow, and not only that, but she also experienced difficulty breathing. Her feet had swollen, making it difficult for her to walk, and she couldn’t eat as she used to. She had become very weak. At 43 years old, Rewati endured this pain with great patience, but after a few days, her stomach started to swell suddenly, causing her severe pain. That’s when the children decided to consult a good hospital for Rewati. After some tests, it was revealed that Rewati was suffering from liver cirrhosis.

When the children learned about their mother’s condition, they were shattered. They couldn’t comprehend what had happened. The distress escalated even more when fluid was drained from Rewati’s stomach not just once or twice, but five times to avoid complications. This was extremely painful. Rewati’s children wanted to give their mother a comfortable life, but fate had something else in store.

It was necessary for Rewati to undergo a liver transplant, and the first question was about the ‘donor,’ and the answer to this question was her daughter. Before deciding to donate a part of her liver to her mother, she didn’t need to think twice. Now, the second question remains about funds. Nearly 2.25 million rupees were needed for her surgery, an amount that was extremely difficult for her children to arrange. But…

Time changed once again

Raising such a large amount of money for a liver transplant all at once was almost impossible. That’s when the doctors informed them about ImpactGuru. The children decided to raise funds through crowdfunding for the transplant, and they initiated a fundraiser. With the help of kind donors, the required amount was gathered in no time, and Rewati’s surgery became possible. After a successful operation, both children met their mother, and tears of joy replaced the worry on their faces. They hugged their mother tightly, overwhelmed with emotion. Today, Rewati is living a happy life with her children. Rewati and her family are grateful to all the donors who supported her fundraising journey.
